Mendoza without a car: how to visit the wineries
By DaniFounder and CEO of Welocal· 2 min read
Short answer
You can visit wineries in Mendoza without driving. The three simplest ways are tastings in the city, choosing a winery with a full-day plan, or adding bike or walking tours through the vineyards. If you are going to taste, it is best that nobody in the group has to drive.
Can I visit wineries without leaving the city?
Yes. In Mendoza city we work with Envinados, which offers tastings with no need to leave town. It is a good choice for your arrival or departure day.
Which plans let me stay at a single winery?
Some wineries offer long experiences that take up a good part of the day, so there is no need to move between several. Doña Paula, for example, has a full day with a visit, a cooking class and a six-course lunch.
Another way is to combine a visit and lunch at the same winery.
Are there bike or walking tours?
Yes. Finca Bandini offers a bike tour with tasting, and Doña Paula has bike options and a vineyard hike with a tasting of five wines and a snack board.
