Planning the trip

What to do in Mendoza

Short answer

Three things fill most trips to Mendoza: visiting wineries, having lunch among the vines and getting outdoors with the Andes in the background. Three days are enough to see Luján de Cuyo, spend a full day in the Uco Valley and add something different, such as a horseback ride or a sunset at a winery.

What is there to do in Mendoza besides drinking wine?

Our catalogue has 188 experiences with 71 wineries and hosts. 109 are about wine: tastings, vineyard walks and games where you make your own blend. Another 71 are about food, with multi-course lunches, asados and picnics.

There are also plans where wine comes second: horseback rides, bike tours, vineyard hikes and sunsets in winery gardens.

How should I split three days in Mendoza?

Day 1, Luján de Cuyo: the area with the most options in the catalogue (108 experiences). A good place to start with a visit and a tasting, and finish with a long lunch.

Day 2, Uco Valley: give it the whole day, with a winery in the morning and a multi-course lunch at midday. We have 48 experiences there.

Day 3, something different: a horseback ride with a tasting, a blending game or an afternoon in a winery garden. If you are short on time, there are tastings in the city, with no need to leave town.

How many wineries should I visit per day?

Most experiences in the catalogue last around two hours. Two per day, or one visit plus lunch, makes a full day without rushing.

If you do not know where to start, tell the concierge on the home page who you are travelling with and what you enjoy, and it will suggest a plan from the catalogue.
