Solo female travel in Argentina: how to join a women’s group trip

Short answer

If you want to travel and have no one to go with, the easiest way is to join a women’s group trip: the group is already formed, the itinerary is planned and transfers are included. Welocal runs two formats: short outings in Mendoza and multi-day trips around Argentina, currently to Mendoza and Salta. You can come on your own, and women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond travel with us.

What is a women’s group trip like?

It is a trip with fixed dates, a full itinerary and a group of women who usually don’t know each other, or who come in pairs. We take care of transfers, bookings and timing, and someone from Welocal travels with the group the whole time.

You don’t have to organise anything: you arrive, join in and share the experiences with the others.

Is it safe to travel alone as a woman?

Travelling in a group solves what worries most solo travellers: getting around, when to head back and who to be with. All transfers are private and included, so you don’t depend on taxis or driving at night.

Every trip has a Welocal coordinator who knows the places and the people who host us.

Which formats are there?

Mendocinas x Mendoza: short outings of an afternoon or a day, for women who live in Mendoza or are passing through, with return transfers.

Group trips: multi-day trips to discover Argentina with other women. Current destinations are Mendoza and Salta. The next one is Salta, 15 to 19 April 2027.

What do you do on a women’s trip to Mendoza?

What works best in a group are hands-on experiences: blending your own wine, making a sparkling wine, a cooking class or a picnic among the vines. There are also sunset afternoons at wineries and horse rides with tastings.
